Understanding The Structure Of The 300 Hour Kundalini, Tantra & Meditation Course

The 300-hour curriculum advances the pillars of Kundalini, Tantra and meditation into deeper, more subtle territory - refined kriya, pranayama, mantra, energy philosophy and sustained meditative practice. It builds on the 200-hour foundation and carries it toward mastery. At this level, you will work through the advanced bandha-coordinated pranayama and the deeper kriya sequences documented in Swami Satyananda's Asana Pranayama Mudra Bandha - the technical reference behind the practice.

Each practice is repeated daily through the residential immersion, so it becomes a steady sadhana rather than something touched once and left. This daily repetition - the traditional gurukul method is what turns 300 advanced hours into genuine transformation, not just information.

Step beyond the ashram and into the wider Rishikesh landscape - sacred caves, Himalayan sunrises, the Ganga at Triveni Ghat, and the area's older temples. The excursions below are included in the 100-hour course schedule and are arranged in coordination with the ashram's rest days.

Himalayan Sunrise Tour

Set off before dawn and climb to a sacred Himalayan viewpoint to watch the sun rise over the snow peaks - Swarga Rohini, Gangotri, Banderpunch and Chaukhamba glowing gold in the first light. A breathtaking, soul-stirring way to begin the day.

Patna Waterfall

Around 7 km from Lakshman Jhula, Patna Waterfalls sit beside Patna village. The highlight is the limestone cave nestled right next to the falling water.

Jhilmil Cave

Set in Manikut Mountain - 25 km from Rishikesh, 1126 m above sea level. Yogis have meditated here for centuries. Routes pass close to Rajaji National Park with our expert guide.

Vasishtha Cave

Sage Vasishtha - guru of Lord Rama - meditated here 10,000 years ago. You will also visit nearby Jesus Cave, where Jesus is said to have stayed three days during his Rishikesh visit.

Parmarth Niketan

One of the largest ashrams in Rishikesh, Parmarth Niketan hosts the world-famous Ganga Aarti every evening on the banks of the holy river - chanting, fire lamps and deep stillness as the sun sets over the Himalayas.

Ganga Beach Meditation

Sit by the soft white sands of Mother Ganga as gentle waves carry your awareness inward. The teachers guide a special open-air meditation on the riverbank - a deeply healing experience surrounded by the mountains and pure flowing energy.

Kunjapuri Temple

Perched high in the hills around Rishikesh, Kunjapuri Devi Temple is a revered Shakti shrine offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan range. A peaceful, energetically charged spot to receive the blessings of the Divine Mother.

This Yoga Retreat is vegetarian-friendly

Cleansing and wholesome nutrition for your practice

Three daily meals are included as part of the 300 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training program, served freshly prepared in the ashram's dining area. The food follows the traditional Sattvic dietary principles of yoga, which means it is fully vegetarian, free from meat, fish, eggs, onion, and garlic. All ingredients are sourced from natural farming practices, with no harmful additives, preservatives, or artificial flavours, ensuring that every meal nourishes the body and supports the clarity and lightness of energy that is so essential for deep Kundalini practice.

The meals at the ashram are home-style, wholesome, and prepared with care, reflecting the family-oriented atmosphere of Samadhi Yoga Ashram. Students often describe the food as nourishing, balanced, and comforting rather than heavy or bland. Typical meals include fresh Indian dishes such as dal, rice, sabzi, roti, soups, salads, fresh juices, and seasonal fruits. The kitchen also cooks for the Guru's family who live on the ashram premises, which gives the food a genuinely home-cooked quality that many students find deeply satisfying.

Vegan students are welcome to inform the ashram in advance so the kitchen can make suitable preparations, as the standard food is vegetarian but not strictly vegan. Students with specific dietary requirements or allergies are also encouraged to communicate their needs to the ashram team before arrival.

For students who wish to explore local food outside the ashram, the Laxman Jhula area of Rishikesh offers a wonderful variety of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. The neighborhood is well known for its many yogic and health-conscious eateries serving fresh juices, smoothie bowls, herbal teas, Indian thalis, and international cuisine. Popular dining spots in the area cater to vegetarian and vegan preferences, making it easy for students to find suitable food during their free time or weekend excursions. Sonnet 4.6
